Membership management, built for HBAs.
MemberBase is under construction. It will let your Home Builders Association run applications, dues, renewals and member status inside the same branded app your members already use, and keep access to every HBASmart module current automatically.

The member record behind every module.
MemberBase is the membership management module coming to HBASmart. It gives an HBA the core functions it uses an association management system for, built specifically for Home Builders Associations and placed inside the same branded app members already use.
MemberBase becomes your HBA's system of record for membership. Active status updates from payments, renewals and lapse rules, and it controls access to MemberBuild, MemberBid and member-only discussion groups, so staff stop maintaining member lists in two places.
Online applications, staff approval and payment, then module access right away.
Renewal reminders by push notification and email, with grace periods and lapse rules your HBA sets.
Every HBASmart module reads the same member status, so access is always current.
Planned for MemberBase.
MemberBase is focused on the membership work an HBA does every week. Member records, membership status and member import are already built; the rest is in development.

What changes when you add MemberBase.
Every HBA using MemberBuild or MemberBid needs member records in HBASmart. MemberBase changes where those records are managed.
| Function | Without MemberBase | With MemberBase |
|---|---|---|
| Member records | Imported from your current system or a spreadsheet | Created and maintained in MemberBase |
| Active status | Imported, and kept current by re-importing | Set automatically from payments, renewals and lapse rules |
| Applications | Handled in your other system | Online application and approval in the app |
| Dues and payments | Handled in your other system | Invoices and online payment in the app |
| Renewal reminders | Sent by your other system | Sent automatically by push notification and email |
| Staff tools | Split between two systems | One admin dashboard |
Designed around how HBAs actually work.
General association software treats these as add-ons or custom configuration. For a Home Builders Association they're part of normal operations, so MemberBase is being designed around them from the start.
- Company-based membership, with a primary contact and additional people who share member access.
- Builder and associate member types, often with different dues and different MemberBid permissions.
- Trades and specialties that drive the directory, MemberBid project alerts and message targeting.
- Committees and councils, with their own rosters and private discussion groups.
- Dues shared with state and national associations, with reporting on what's owed to each level.
- CE history from MemberBuild shown on each member's profile.
